The route maps places and buildings associated with the personality of Leoš Janáček (1854–1928), the world's most performed Czech opera composer. It includes locations where Janáček lived, composed, conducted, taught, heard the premieres of his compositions, strolled around and met up with his friends, etc. You can also visit his home on Smetanova ulice, where Janáček spent the last quarter of his life and composed all of his greatest works. You will be guided by the musicologist Jiří Zahrádka, the curator of the Leoš Janáček Archive. An audio-guide will be available for international visitors with commentary in either English or German.
